We believe that it is important for children to enjoy participating in sport from an early age. Our sports programme strives to offer all children the opportunity to develop essential life skills such as the ability to win or lose with grace, appreciating the value of teamwork, learning to lead and being led by others as well as developing self-confidence.
A balanced curriculum is essential to the development of a child. We believe that Art and Crafts should not only have their rightful place set aside in the timetable, but that they should also be integrated within a broader framework, forming important bridges between distinct disciplines.
Following the success of our inaugural Art Week in 2012, this highly innovative approach to the study and application of art now forms part of our annual calendar. During Art Week, students use art to learn to approach issues and present ideas and points of view in new ways and to challenge perceptions, without inhibition.
Our International Garden Party is an annual celebration of the cultural diversity within our school. Students, parents and staff work together to showcase and share various aspects of their cultures, transforming the school into a real treat for the senses. Colours, sounds, aromas and flavours from all over the world blend together giving visitors the opportunity to experience a range of continents, countries and regions as they wander through the school playground. Over the years, our International Garden Party has become a Da Vinci tradition and we always look forward to new countries joining this celebration.
