Exam Succes!

August 2016

This year’s A Level and GCSE exam grades were once again testament to lots of hard work, determination and dedication. Our Grade 12 students achieved an average A Level score of 320 UCAS tariff points with an overall A Level pass rate of 94%, which is a 2% increase on last year. Performance in languages, Mathematics and Applied ICT was particularly strong this year with 100% grades falling within the A* to C range. 100% of our school leavers have since gone on to their first choice universities across the globe. The Grade 10 GCSE grades were also cause for celebration with 85% of grades falling within the range A* to C (2016 UK GCSE average: 66.9%) and 60% students achieving at least two A* grades . The proportion of A* and A grades accounted for  57% with an overall pass rate of 96%. Results for the foundation subjects (Mathematics, English and Science) were again particularly pleasing with 100% grades in the A* to C range for all subjects. Performance in IGCSE foreign languages was once again very strong with 80% of grades awarded at A* this year. Da Vinci International School is an inclusive, non-selective school, which means that children with a range of abilities and differing educational backgrounds take IGCSE, AS and A Level examinations.
